Welcome to FLY!
UEA's Festival of Literature for Young People (FLY), is an annual literature and creative writing Festival for students aged 11-14. Working with a selection of schools from across Norfolk and Suffolk, the Festival is a celebration of creativity for and by young people.
Over the years FLY has welcomed a host of fantastic young people's writers and performers, including Lisa Williamson, David Almond, Bali Rai, Celia Rees, Frances Harding, BREIS, Anthony Mcgowan and FLY patron, Alexander Gordon Smith.
Sadly, this year's Festival has been cancelled in line with the Government’s advice to prevent the spread of Coronavirus.
However, we're very excited to be working in collaboration with FLY authors and UEA's Creative Writing School to bring local students an exciting package of digital resources, activities and competitions!
