UEA MUSIC CENTRE
UEA Music Centre is open to everyone, no matter what degree programme you are studying, or how much experience you have. Based in the heart of the UEA campus it offers a focal point for music on campus, in the City of Norwich, and in the wider community.
Staffed by a dedicated Director of Music and Music Administrator, the Music Centre provides a vibrant meeting place for musicians, hosts practices and rehearsal spaces, and is open to all!
In addition to providing Practice Rooms for students and staff to use, and connecting students with music tutors, the Music Centre runs a Symphony Orchestra and three choirs (Choir, Chamber Choir and Community Choir), all of which are open to all (the latter is audition-free, while the former three are open by audition (auditions for 2020-21 season: 25 September 2020)
UEA Music Centre also runs two schemes of financial support for musically talented students; Music Scholarships and Music Centre Awards. Music Scholarships are worth £3,000 and are applied for before entry (usually in March), whereas Music Centre Awards are worth £800 and are applied for after entry (2020 deadline: 13 October 2020).
